Jimmy patiently answered all my questions, was very knowledgeable & explained the workings of my system—heat pump, furnace & thermostat. The capacitor on my 10 year old heat pump needed to be replaced & he told me what it should read & actually put a tester on it demonstrating to me the actual low readings. I was very impressed w/his professionalism, expertise & mannerisms.

My husband and I were having furnace issues and I called Thursday around 3:30 and they were able to come by Friday morning at 8:30 am- the man came in and diagnosed the issue within 15 minutes and had it fixed in about 10 more. Could not be happier and more pleased with the customer service and the service itself and really appreciate them!

Technician was very attentive and thorough. Also took the time to personally go pick up a necessary part so that the furnace was operational within the same service call without having to wait for the part to come in if it would’ve been ordered. We have 5 A/C units which needed general inspections and tune up. Called Rumer-Loudin to set it up. They arrived when they said they would and serviced all units. The units are operating great. Very satisfied with the service company and their people.

I called about my ac not shutting off. Rumor Loudin said they weren’t sure if they could make it today to fix the problem. I spoke to one of the techs to see if there was something I could do. He walked me through a few things and came to a conclusion that my thermostat was bad. He managed to squeeze me in for a service call which I thought was above and beyond. He came and fixed my my problem within minutes. I can’t tell how grateful I am right now. The heat this week has been unbearable and they came to my rescue.. I can’t say enough good things about Rumor Loudin.. they also installed my new furnace and ac unit a few years ago. Our A/C quit working in the middle of the night. I called the following morning as soon as the St. Clairsville Rumer Loudin office opened and ask if someone could look at the A/C unit. The very friendly staff (Jessica) was able to send out a Technician right away because they just had a cancellation (lucky for me). The Technician (Jimmy) quickly diagnosed the problem and replaced the part needed. From the time I called to the time my A/C was making cold air again was probably 45 minutes. First class, reliable and trustworthy company!

I first called a HVAC co. A couple of blocks from me on a Friday although they advertise same day service, I was told the best they could do was Tuesday, 10:00 AM on Tuesday morning an employee called me and said he didn’t know what time he would get to me and he would probably just gas and go ( charge the unit with Freon and leave) I asked about looking for the leak. He told me that it may take some time and then talked about possibly replacing the unit ( it’s only 8 years old ) So I called Rumer-Loudin and within 40 minutes an HVAC tech was at my home. And within 45 minutes he found and repaired the leak cleaned the condenser coil, and I have no problems after that.

I’ve got a story I have to tell you…….
So, I get back from vacation on July 7th….and I walk in my house…and my air conditioning is not running…and my house is like a furnace!!!!
So we turn the unit off…and then back on… and the unit starts right up….
but…the fan is running….and the A/C itself really doesn’t come on.
So I place a call to your after hrs. emergency number…since it’s now evening. Someone…who turns out to be JJ returns our call…and we set it up so he can come out on Sunday to take a look…
He is to be at our house between 12:30p-1:30p on Sunday…and by George, he is there right on time…. he spends about an hour at the house…and diagnosis is is that the compressor is shot…..
So we agree that he will do an estimate on a new unit for us.
On Monday…I stop by your St. C. Office to check on an estimate….and JJ is off because he hurt his back….. …but as I am leaving….Tom comes out to me and says…he wants to come down to the house and check to see if he can get it running….he does come down…checks it out and concurs the compressor shot.
He then does an estimate for us right at our kitchen table…which we immediately agree to.
On I believe either Wednesday or Thursday we get a call from Tom…he says everything is in…and they want to come down and install…..
Jody and I believe Jason come down….along with Tom who gets them started…
They get everything done by 2:30pm…and we have terrific air conditioning back in our house.
I tell you all of that…so I can tell you this…. from the very beginning starting with JJ answering the call…to Tom overseeing the project…to the super job Jody and Jason did…. it was an absolutely terrific effort and job by your company for us!!!! On a scale of 1-10…you guys get a 20…that’s how good it all was!!!!

Both John and Lance did a great job in installation and were very polite, kept the house clean, and made us feel good about choosing Rumer Loudin. I went to my Mom’s house to work while they did the install. My Mom left with her friends to go shopping and see a movie in case the house got too cold. While I tried to not be in their way as they installed the unit, I also would from time to time go see if there was anything they needed and check on the progress. One of the things that I appreciated from both men was their willingness to talk with me about some of the technical things. About three other HVAC companies in the OV were not like that at all. First of all, I appreciate the time they took to hold my hand, but I also got the impression they knew what they were doing. It made me feel even better about choosing Rumer-Loudin. When they left, you could not tell anyone had been to the house. They were also very respectful of my Mom. I would strongly recommend them to any other prospective customer. In fact, one of my Mom’s neighbors said she was impressed and was interested in getting a heat pump to replace her oil furnace. She said she was going to ask Rumer-Loudin for a bid, and her nephew owns an HVAC company in town. He is the guy, who put in the poorly sized unit at my Mom’s house.
As far as operations go, the unit seems to be working very well. My Mom loves that you can get the outside temperature reading at her thermostat. John said that Tom asked him to connect this outside thermometer. Plus, my Mom told me the next day she was surprised at how much heat was coming out of the registers. Another thing that both my Mom and I noticed is how quiet the unit runs. My Mom says she can’t hear the inside air handler and the outside unit is also very quiet. The difference in noise between the old unit and the new one is very impressive. My Mom has been calling her friends telling them how good the unit is.

We had furnace problems the first part of this week (March 1)–Tom showed up and go some heat coming–later it quit again–Tom responded and tried some magic with his fingers crossed–all this time our 25 year old furnace was going to have to be replaced soon–everything quit–Tom showed up again and was able to schedule a replacement for just a couple of days since we were without heat.
Kevin and Bob showed up early–these guys are good at what they do plus their social skills with the customer are outstanding and comprehensive. Their compassion as well as all I talked [to] on the phone was without a doubt GREAT!!!
We’ve bought three homes in the area and have never been treated this way with such caring and professional manner–These guys are worth their wage and probably even more so—

I have been very pleased through the years with my association with Rumer-Loudin. With new construction I purchased an air conditioner and furnace and I’m very satisfied. My mother purchased a new heat pump…Sid and his employees were excellent in getting it fixed for her.
I’m very pleased with the installment of the Trane and the two men who installed it.
I have a routine fall check–this past winter I awoke to a cold house. I called before 7:00 A.M.–left a message and I was contacted by 8:00 A.M.–the service man arrived soon after–and he had the furance repaired in record time. (It was a “fluke” that caused the problem but he found it & fixed it.) He was prompt efficient & friendly.
I would rate Rumer-Loudin AAA+ in my standards. Everything was 1st class treatment. I would recommend to my family & friends.
Trane furnace and A/C install Sept. 07. So far so good and my electric and gas bills are cheaper. If something should go wrong in the future I will call the same contractor.
